ABOUT

So this is me. I work in the arts in various forms so make a cup of tea and have a read...

Performance: I am an actor, writer, improviser and cabaret performer. I love telling stories and have been lucky enough to perform across the UK, Europe and in America. I am Co Artistic Director of Crows Nest Theatre Company with Roberta Zuric, an Associate Artist of White Rabbit, one third of The Bluestocking Society and part of the wonderful collective "Where's My Vagina".

My first solo show "Nell Gwynn's History Laid Bare" allowed me to connect my cabaret character Ginger Blush with my love of history whilst my second (currently in R&D) explores words, women and how original meanings may not be as "Quaint” as we might imagine.

Facilitation: I facilitate workshops in art, craft, drama, reminiscence, folk dance and improvisation. Workshops can be created to suit a theme or event and are suitable for all ages.

Companies I have worked for include Royal Albert Hall, The Albany, Heart n Soul, Wildlife Trust, Lewisham Homes, Teatro Vivo and House Seven.

Other roles in this area include Community Chorus Manager (Teatro Vivo) and work as a visual artist creating poetry exhibitions in care homes and at Lewisham Council.

Working with Elders: I regularly run workshops for elders in sheltered housing and community centres.

In 2019, Bernadette Russell (White Rabbit) and I ran a twelve week Cabaret Party Project for "Meet Me At" run by The Albany. We were subsequently invited to create a party with residents for Rage Against The Machine Festival.

I am trained in Reminiscence Arts and ensure all workshops are Dementia Friendly.

This year I will be working on a project at The Royal Albert Hall and running workshops for the Museum of London with people living with Dementia.
